The Love Pope Foundation grew out of years of informal, behind-the-scenes community care by Dr. Corii Love, Dom Pope, and the family and community around them. Long before any formal program existed, there were meals shared with people experiencing homelessness, hygiene kits handed to neighbors in need, groceries left on a porch, and quiet moments of encouragement for families in transition. These are the moments that shaped our mission — not organizational accomplishments, but the compassion that inspired us to build something lasting together.
Feeding people experiencing homelessness reminded us that dignity often begins with simply being seen, heard, and welcomed.
Small bags of soap, socks, and personal-care essentials became a quiet way to say, 'You matter,' long before there was a formal program.
When a neighbor or stranger was in crisis, our family and community stepped in with groceries, encouragement, and practical help.
We didn't need a nonprofit structure to care. We just needed each other — and a willingness to keep showing up.
