Love Pope Foundation Inc. ("Love Pope Foundation," "we," "us") operates this website and the secure Opportunity Portal used for grant applications, scholarship applications, volunteer participation, and supporter communications. This policy explains how we handle information collected through those systems.

We collect information only when you choose to share it. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

• Contact and newsletter forms: your name, email address, the subject or interest you select, and the message you write.
• Partnership and sponsorship inquiries: your name, organization, email, and the details of your inquiry.
• Volunteer applications: personal and emergency contact details, availability, interests, skills, background-check consent, agreements you sign, training records, shift sign-ups, and service hours you record.
• Grant and scholarship applications: household and family details, financial need information, narrative responses, and any supporting documents you upload.
• Account creation: your email address and authentication credentials, managed by our authentication provider. We do not see or store your password.
• Donation-interest records: your name, contact details, the gift amount and frequency you indicate, designation preference, and any comments. Online giving is not yet open, and this website does not request or store credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers.
• Communications: messages exchanged between you and our team through the portal, including status notifications about your application or volunteer service.

Documents you upload as part of an application (for example, identification, income verification, or enrollment records) are stored in restricted file storage. Access is limited to the applicant who uploaded the file and authorized foundation staff and reviewers who need it to evaluate the application.

• To review, process, and respond to applications, inquiries, and volunteer requests.
• To communicate with you about your application, service hours, events, and program updates.
• To acknowledge gifts and maintain accurate internal records of support.
• To operate, secure, and improve our website and portal.
• To meet recordkeeping and reporting obligations that apply to our work.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade donor, applicant, or volunteer lists.

Our website uses browser storage and cookies that are necessary for the site to function — primarily to keep you signed in to the portal and to remember your session. If you do not create an account, this is limited to basic technical storage. We do not use these technologies to build advertising profiles.

We rely on third-party providers to host our website, database, authentication, and file storage, and to deliver email. These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to deliver their services. When online giving opens, a payment processor will handle payment details directly; we will update this policy at that time.

Access to applicant, volunteer, donor, and internal records is restricted by account role. Our database enforces row-level access rules so that individuals see only their own records, and staff and reviewers see only what their role requires. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and we do not claim any certification or compliance framework that we have not obtained.

We keep application, volunteer, and supporter records for as long as needed to administer our programs, maintain accurate historical records of our work, and satisfy legal or reporting obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or remove identifying details.

You may ask us to review, correct, or delete the information you have given us, or ask to stop receiving our emails. Every newsletter includes a way to opt out, and you may email us at any time. Some information may need to be retained where deletion would prevent us from meeting a legal or recordkeeping obligation.

Our website and portal are intended for adults. Volunteers aged 14 to 17 may participate with parent or guardian consent, and applicants may provide information about children in their household as part of a grant or scholarship application. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information without a parent's involvement, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy as our programs and systems grow — for example, when online giving opens. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
